A:  Hello, We manufacture our furniture with 18-8 stainless steel hardware with an AlloChrome 3200+™ finish and cosmetic coating and it has a high level of corrosive resistance. Even though it's highly resistant, it can show some sign of corrosion in salt air environments. If it does, you can apply a soap mixture to the hardware with a soft bristle brush and scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. You can also apply an appliance touch up paint in the same color as your hardware after it is cleaned to help protect it from corroding. Thank you for reaching out with your great question! Ashley
