        A:  It is recommended that the rack is installed at a height that works for your space and purposes. Extension chains can be purchased separately.

The length the chain can be adjusted to is also determined by the weight your ceiling can hold.                   Q:I am a bit confused about the chains. Are they adjustable? How so? My ceiling is 98 inches high and want to make sure I can easily reach the pot rack over the sink where I plan to install it but also not bump my head on it...

                  A:  Good Afternoon, Yes the chains are adjustable; you would basically be placing the hooks at a "higher" point on the chain. This means you would end up with some of the chain hanging off the side of the hooks. Similar to a necklace that needs to be clasped as a "tighter" setting so it doesn't hang too low. We do recommend to check with a contractor to verify if your ceilings can support the weight of the rack + pots/pans. Thank You, Old Dutch Customer Service Team
