A: Yes... You do not need a three way bulb.. The touch will dim the light for you..

From the response I've read, it suggest that the nuances of the English language is something unfamiliar.
The question asked; A - individual bulbs, or B in line resistance.
Touch dimming is effective either way.
So the indirect answer leaves you to imagine at best, that the item uses in line resistance.

A: Yes I bought last yr for my sister for Christmas. We had to put the slats in on the lamp. It was easy and is just as nice a yr later.

A: Either you have a faulty auto switch or some metal is touching it. I'd ask someone at the store to look at it. I don't think these lamps are on timers. My lamp works fine.
