A:  It says to change it every 6 months, sooner if you use alot of water.

A:  Every 6 months is suggested

A:  The unit has a bypass valve which removes pressure from the housing. The housing is then removed with the included tool and the cartridge is replaced and the housing replaced and tightened and the bypass returned to normal.

A:  how do I change the cartridge, and how often do I need to change the cartridge?

A:  Manufacturers recommendation. We waited to long. Scale building. Took a week or so to fully reverse.
