A:  This is a convertible range hood. It can be ducted or non-ducted. You will have four ducting options: 3-14" x 10" vertical; 3-1/4" x 10" horizontal (through the back); 7" round vertical; or non-ducted. If you require a non-ducted installation, you must purchase the charcoal filters separately. Ducted installation should remove smoke from the kitchen. Non-ducted installations will not necessarily remove smoke, mostly grease and odors. You may want to contact our Technical Support Department at 888-339-3948 and discuss.

A:  This item has both by an aluminum mesh filter and a charcoal filter, but there isn't information on where to find replacements.

A:  It uses an aluminum mesh grease filter if the range hood is ducted to the outside. It uses a charcoal filter if it is non-ducted. The part number for the aluminum filter is S99010299. The charcoal filter is S99010308.

A:  This range hood is much quieter even at the highest speed than other range hoods.

A:  Always use caution when removing a bulb that seems to be un-cooperative. We off a suction cup tool that can be handy for removing them. A:  Interesting timing. Mine just died and when trying to take it out inexperienced what you're talking about. However I managed to push my fingers in a bit further and get a better grip and it indeed came out with a bit more force. You could also try a jar gripper or towel or pliers. Rest assured though that it does come out by turning counter-clockwise (when looking from below).
