YOU MIGHT HAVE TO ATTACH THE POWER FEED BEFORE SCREWING UNIT INTO PLACE
THE POWER JUNCTION BOX IS ON THE SMALL SIDE AND MAY BE MORE DIFFICULT TO WIRE UP IN PLACE
by|May 4, 2023
A: Thanks for the question. You can secure the housing to a 2 x 6 joist, but you can not change the location of the exhaust. It's one way or the other. Not sure if this will work for your project. But if I have misunderstood, or if you have additional questions, call our Technical Support Department at 888-336-6151.

A: Thank you for your question. This model has an AC motor. The exhaust fan can be connected to a variable speed control, but we are uncertain of how it would work with this GE model. If you want to check out the models we offer, please view 57W and 72W on HomeDepot.com. If you have further questions, please dial 888-336-6151 and speak with Technical Support. Thanks, again.

CHECK TO SEE IF DUCT IS PLUGGED UP. IT SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM HOLDING TISSUE IN PLACE
by|May 4, 2023
A: Most of the air is sucked out of the space between the grill and the ceiling. Since there is an inch all the way around, it won't hold a piece of tissue. If you can get to exhaust duct, disconnect it and see how hard it is blowing out.
by|May 3, 2023
A: There are many things that can affect the way an exhaust fan works. The amount of CFM, the age of the motor, the size of the duct line, is there an obstruction in the line, the size of the room…all these factors need to be considered. This unit is a 100 CFM with a 4” duct. It can support a room that’s around 60-65 square feet. The ‘tissue test’ can be helpful, but it’s not a complete picture. It would be recommended that you speak with our Technical Support Department before you begin this project. Dial 888-336-6151 and they can assist you if you have further questions. Thank you.
