A: Hey Bobby, this thing is made to be glued to ceramic and porcellain tiles so it should probably do just as well on the rubber material although I'm not sure how you're applying it because it's probably rated for an average person's weight in terms of strength of the adhesive.. you might want to find out what type of glue it is and look up whether it will work on EPMD to make sure though.

Answer This Question
A: Special glue that holds a plate to the wall of the tub. Once it’s fully cured, the handrail screws into the plate. The plate is hidden beneath the decorative rings at the ends of the grab bar.

A: Hi Lisa,
It attaches with an epoxy. Ive installed multiple of these on marble in a shower. After the 24 hour drying period, I stood on them. Im 250lbs id say they pass the test.

Q:Can this be mounted on fiberglass

Answer This Question
A: This is the worst idea for a fiberglass shower. Think about it for 1 second. So your sticking a bar to a wall that flexes. So you have a grab bar that is able to move when your needing something solid.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Yes. That's where mine are mounted. Just be sure sure the surface is clean and free from any film from soap or cleaner residue.
by|Dec 18, 2022
A: The nie wieder bohren grab bars are only recommended for natural stone, tile, glass, metal and concrete surfaces.
by|Dec 15, 2022
A: It may stick if you ruffled up the surface but fiberglass is to flimsy, should be mounted to stud with bolts in my opinion..
by|Feb 13, 2023
A: If it's smooth and clean, super strong mounting.

Q:Can this be installed on Mosaic tile???? It is 2 inch squares.

Answer This Question
A: Dear Sir,
I installed on a slate tile. I avoided the grout line so I would have a solid connection. With 2" moziac tile you could be close. The product has performed well. We are happy with it. No drilling just follow the instructions for the glue and it works.
Good luck!!
by|Oct 26, 2022
A: The mosaic tiles can be ceramic, porcelain, glass, natural stone and even metal or mirror. We would not recommend if it is inside the shower as it is best to avoid grout in wet applications.

A: having used this item in my home, i can say it did not work on my 2" sq. tile in the shower.

A: Yes I think 2 inches is enough but make sure you center the glue area on both ends if you land on a grout line it may not hold
