      Answer This Question

A:  Hi there. Without knowing the material of the pad, we can't make a complete recommendation. This tape is designed for general household repairs and hanging though, so generally could be used to re-secure items such as pads in a fan unit.

        Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. Double Stick Duct Tape is not recommended for painted surfaces. Typically professionals in the abatement, remediation, and construction industries will apply a painter's masking tape to the surface first and then apply Double-Stick to the painter's tape. This ensures clean removal from the painted surface BUT also provides the strength of a duct tape for holding up the poly sheeting. Best of luck with your project.

A:  I would not attach this tape to ANY decorative surface! This tape is ment to hold things together! It does that very well! You want something like painters tape, the blue works works for me! I have used the double- stick for things like installing a knife block in a kitchen drawer.

A:  Never thought of such a use but I would sure try it! Perhaps on a square or two just to check for thickness issues. I overbought and instead of returning the extras I have found a dozen uses for the tape around my house. For instance--I do Home Day Care. Instead of filling my kitchen with pesky child proof locks I have used the tape on the edge of my cabinet doors. I can get them open but the kids cannot. It is just as handy as regular duct tape. And I am going to use your idea when I re do my bathroom floor next month. Thanks

              Answer This Question

A:  Yes but the surface has to be clean and dry it’s amazing.

A:  Thank you for your question. Nashua 105C Double-Stick duct tape features a rubber based adhesive which will not perform well in extended exposure to extreme high temperatures. Over time, the adhesive would dry and become brittle losing its bond to the materials. Best of luck with your project.

A:  Thank you for your question. A better choice for your particular application would be Nashua Poly Hanging Tape which is also available from The Home Depot. This product is designed specifically for bonding to Poly Sheeting and construction surfaces and provides low moisture permeability similar to the vapor barrier material.
