A:  The recycling part of the trash can is not physically, removable. Only the bag us. It is just split in half so you have a recycle bag on one side and trash bag on the other. You can remove the recycle bag and dump it and reuse it, that way.

A:  No you cannot which is a major bummer. I wish I would have thought that through before purchasing this unit.

A:  No, you need a bag or something to container for both sections. I have separate trash and recycling bins,but I still purchased recycling trash bags. They are the blue/green trash bags.

A:  I wish the recycle side had a handle that could be removeable and dumped into the recycle company's bin. I cannot put in a trash bag so I will have to empty the trash bag into the recycle bin. Other models such as Simple human, have a handle to lift out the recycle bin to dump into the bin that will be picked up.

A:  It are not actual bins inside. There are two frames at the top that hold a trash bag and a recycling bag.

A:  The entire bin itself is about 19”x9”x26”and it’s not 2 separate bins, but in fact one bin with a divider in the middle so I’d say the each side has a space of about 9.5”x9”x26””

A:  Hi there, Thanks for contacting us. The lid is removable as it sits on top of the unit. This allows for an easy insertion and removal of liners :) Hope this was helpful. -Nine Stars Group

A:  The lid and top is lifted off easily to change the bags.

A:  The black automatic-lift kid cannot be removed but the complete lid CAN be removed to change bags in each side of the bin.

A:  Unfortunately they are not included. It needs 4 D batteries. They last a LONG time though. I've had mine for over 2 years... I only changed them once (currently showing no signs of needing them changed again) and it's opened many times a day. I am so glad I got this!

A:  It requires four D batteries. I don't think they were included if I recall. It's been a couple years since I bought mine.

A:  D batteries and I don't remember if they are included but they do last a pretty long time.

A:  This recycling bin takes 4 D batteries. We bought it so long ago I can't remember if the batteries were included. Sorry.

A:  No I don’t believe this can be converted. I’m very happy with the product. And the batteries rarely need to be changed.
