Q:will this sub box allow me to add two 240 breakers?
by|Aug 8, 2018
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Yes, but not full size breakers. Would require a Type MH-T Quadplex breaker. For example, to get (2) 30A 240V breakers you would need MP230230CT2.

Q:is that a two phase circuit breaker?
by|Aug 29, 2017
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: If by "two phase" you mean a 2 pole breaker, yes, LC002GS will accept a 2 pole breaker up to the 60A maximum rating. But single pole breakers and even duplex (tandem) breakers can be used for up to a maximum of 4 circuits.

Q:If used as a subpanel it will require a separate grounding bar. which grounding bar will work on this panel?

Answer This Question
A: This depends entirely on your local electrical codes but, the panel comes with the case ground strap that bonds the panel housing to the neutral bar but in most cases the ground from the main panel will work just speaking electrically.

A: Steven, you want to order Ground Bar Kit LX069M

Q:For use as a subpanel. There is an isolated neutral bar but no ground bar. There is a green ground screw included with this package. Does this ground screw go into any of the three "dimpled" holes, or is an extra ground bar needed to ground the feed from the main panel? I assume for the 2 circuits' wiring the grounds go into the same bar as the neutrals?

A: Larry,
This would be a wiring question, and for this we reccomend consulting a certified electrician. He can take a look at your application and advise
by|Aug 9, 2020
A: As a subpanel you have to isolate your grounds from the neutral side.
You add a ground bar and run your ground to this bar (this is purchased separately) DO NOT ADD GREEN SCREWS! Only for the main panel

A: Hi Chip,
I would have to recommend that you speak to someone in the electrical department at your local Home Depot or consult a professional electrician in this case. National Electrical Code varies by state, county, zip code, so I cannot answer this for you.
by|May 3, 2023
A: Yes it will effectively only be a 40 amp box since the 40 amp breaker supplying it will protect the box. But if you pull more than 40 amps at a time your supply will trip.

A: Hi AZDIYWannabe,
Yes, you can convert this main lug load center to a main breaker load center by using the Murray 125 Amp main breaker conversion kit which can be found here: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Siemens-Type-M1-125-Amp-Main-Breaker-Conversion-Kit-MBK125M/202253094?keyword=MBK125M
