Questions and Answers for Milwaukee M12 12V Lithium-Ion Cordless Rotary Tool (Tool-Only)

A:  Yes if you have the proper Cutting Tip look at Dremel cut off wheels but its limited in size and might not work for every situation due to it being bulky and cut off wheels are small

A:  With my experience it can thru thin sheet metal and that was pushing it. Maybe I have had 4 defective ones; but they would all bog down and stop on 1/8 plate or bigger. Turn the speed up and as soon as I applied pressure, it would (2 of them ) go into a higher speed and would not shut off and could not turn them on I just use my other 2 for sanding, polishing and sharpen

A:  No - not that I’ve experienced.  Other than the thing that gets tangled slowing down or stopped the motor.

A:  These are garbage. Don't buy. Have gone thru 4 (bought 2, 2 were replace) of them. All did the same thing. Turn it on and put a little strain on it cuts out. Turn it off and it won't turn on. Leave it in the on position and slam a battery in, it Turn on but only high speed. No control of the speed. Turn off it turns off. But you can't turn it back on unless you pull the battery out and slam it in again.

A:  it could be used with the proper cutoff wheel but it isn’t the best tool for repetitive work maybe 1-4 times for cutouts for recepticles but again limited use

A:  I haven't tried but I don't see why not. It doesn't near the power of a drywall router but if you weren't in a hurry, with the drywall bit, it would cut

A:  It will work on drywall for small jobs, but I find the Milwaukee M12 cut off tool very useful for larger, fast drywall cuts.

A:  possible yes ...but not a good idea first not enough power to cut at a reasonable rate. and second the dust will I think make short work of the bearings

A:  Yes it probably could but just small pieces.

A:  Not sure why you're asking at Home Depot. I'd recommend submitting your question to Milwaukee Tool. The email floating around in some review responses is socialmedia@milwaukeetool.com. Maybe they can provide some insight into future tool R&D.

A:  Yes it is. You just unscrew the cap at the end and screw on the other base
