A: Most likely, yes. A lot of things come in to play when a question like that gets asked. Here are a few to consider; How good is your drill bit? How old is the concrete? How hard is the concrete ( as in PSI rating of the mix)? The design of the bit and its sharpness are a big factor too as this impacts the work load on the motor. Higher impact ratings are going to drill faster, but, in old concrete (80+ years old) high impact energies can break concrete while drilling it. More is not necessarily better in those cases. In old work, it can be a tough call to drill and set anchors or use a PAT gun. Sometimes a PAT gun is a better choice, but under those conditions, both tools can have potentially serious draw backs unique to the tools.

A: Not likely. I have it and it packs a lot of punch for an sds+ but less than half of the smallest sds max. It’d probably get it in till the last foot and a half and then you’d have to finish with a sledge.
by|Mar 22, 2019
A: Yes. As long as the bit is 1-1/8"or smaller.

A: No, too small.
by|Oct 2, 2018
A: Not in anything firm or rocky. Maybe if you live where it’s sand the whole way.
by|Dec 5, 2020
A: No I have tried. For that you will most likely need a corded tool. My Bosch RH540M will barely drive ground rods and it doesn't do a very good job at it. It is listed as having 6.1 ft lbs of impact energy; this milwuakee has 3.3, the milwaukee m18 sds max hammer drill has 5.1. In order to drive ground rods effectively you want somewhere around 8 ft lbs of impact energy. "Milwaukee 5426-21 1-3/4 in. SDS-Max Rotary Hammer" this guy is what you want to drive ground rods.
