However, these numbers should not be directly correlated to engineered products, as Janka testing is conducted on solid blocks of the particular species and engineered floors only use a finished veneer. While Janka ratings do provide some beneficial comparative data between floors, even exotic species with extremely high hardness ratings will scratch and dent.

A:  Janka ratings refer to the relative hardness of various species of wood and are not indicative of the hardness of engineered flooring and for that reason not published information.

A:  Yes, Millstead 3/8" click and 1/2" engineered floors can be professionally refinished 1 time. 3/4" solid floors can be professionally refinished up to 3 times.

A:  Millstead 1/2" Engineered products have a 1/10" (2.5mm) veneer, and could be professionally sanded and refinished one time.
