A: Yes. If you set the vertical uprights seven feet apart and the connection pins measure four feet between theses will work. These cross braces actually are about 97” long when folded flat.

The 4' measurement refers to the distance between the bottom brace lock and the top brace lock on a scaffold frame.
The 7' measurement refers to the distance between two scaffold frames after they are set up with these cross braces.

A: No. I have 5' and 6' high frames that are 7' in length. A 7' plank fits the frames and the 4x7' cross braces fit BOTH frames.

Q:Do 2 braces count as one set? As it take two to make a scaffolding.

A: There are actually 16 braces, but each pair of 2 are connected in the center with a rivet making 8 pairs. It takes two pair to form a section of scaffolding. This 8 pack (pairs) will allow you to set 4 sections of scaffolding.

A: Each brace has a 1/2" hole at each end that is 96 5/8" on center. The braces engage the pins that are welded to the verticle legs of the scaffold sections.
