Q:how many pieces in one box

    Answer This Question

A: This product has 0.98 square foot per piece, each piece sold individually.

    by|May 6, 2023

A: Hi Hudson, Our Meta Brick is currently sold as an individual mosaic, which covers 0.98 square feet. At this time, this is the only quantity that we are selling this mosaic as. A full case from our factory contains 10 sheets; if you were to order in this quantity you would receive a factory case. Please keep in mind that we encourage ordering 10% more than your calculated amount to assure that you order enough tile to account for cutting, future repairs and dye lot and caliber consistency. Also, it is always great to have a couple extra laying around the house in the event of a future project or damages down the road. If multiple orders are placed, there is a chance that you may experience issues with dye lot and caliber consistency. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

A: Good Afternoon, There are no trim pieces that are directly intended to coordinate with this product. If you are looking for a finishing edge for this product, we would recommend looking at Schluter Trim http://thd.co/1qBLqjw. They offer stainless steel finishing edges that could complement this product nicely. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. A: Hi Mary, You would need a minimum of 8 sheets to cover this area. We always encourage buying an additional 10% to account for cutting and future repairs, so we would recommend buying 9 sheets of this tile. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

            Answer This Question

A: Good morning, Our Meta Brick is a vitreous, ceramic backed stainless steel wall tile with a water absorption of more than 0.5% but less than 3%. We can recommend this tile for a shower wall installation as long as it’s not exposed to freezing conditions or submerged in standing water for extended periods of time. I suggest checking out the HomeDepot.com DIY Forums – “Project How To”, which allow you to post questions about specific Do-It-Yourself projects and get feedback from knowledgeable customers and professionals. Q:what kind of finish work you do to this tile?

              Answer This Question

              A: Good morning,

We would suggest grouting the Meta Brick 12 in. x 11-3/4 in. x 8 mm Stainless Steel Over Ceramic Mosaic Wall Tile. If the lines that exist between the individual mosaic pieces are not grouted, the mesh backing of the tile will remain exposed. We suggest using non-sanded grout and cleaning the tile with a non-abrasive, neutral cleaner as well as a clean sponge.

As for finish for this product, we would suggest the Merola Tile SuperTrim Stainless Steel. The SuperTrim can be applied by simply placing it between your grout and tile or screwing into your wall during installation. The pieces will meet end-to-end to simulate one continuous piece of trim and can be cut to fit the size you need. A: Hi KJ, We wouldn't recommend this tile for that use for the following reasons: Depending on the proximity of the tile to the heating element, high temperatures might damage and/or weaken the adhesive that attaches the stainless steel facing to the tile. Additionally, prolonged heat and exposure to grease and other cooking dirt might affect the color and condition of the metal facing and grout. Hope that helps!

A: Good afternoon, We recommend using a wet saw to cut this product, with the metal facing down. Keep the protective plastic on so the metal facing isn't damaged, and please be aware that keeping the mesh wet for too long may result in some pieces loosening from the mesh. Hope that helps!

A: We rented a tile cutter machine from Home Depot (expensive, make sure you're ready to start once you rent it). Be very careful, can be dangerous, watch your fingers. You also need a metal file to smooth out the rough edges after cutting the tiles, and before gluing them onto your wall.
