Questions and Answers for Master Lock 1-7/8 in. (48mm) Wide Combination Padlock

A:  Please provide an image of the back of your lock, ensuring the image clearly shows the serial number and that the lock is not attached to anything. You can email it to customerservice@mlock.com

A:  The one I purchased did not had the combination in the instruction sheet. It was on a peel off sticker on the back of the lock.

A:  The lock is marked with a date code only, and this marking is NOT unique. our recommendation is to contact your Home Depot store to special order the 1502 model directly from Master Lock.

A:  These locks can be purchased in multiples with the same combination and they are packaged together in plastic. I have been purchasing these locks individually for at least 25 years and the combinations have always been different. However, I do not know of a way to absolutely guarantee they will all be different. That would be a question for the manufacturer.

A:  They're strong and reliable, but most locks can be broken into easily. I've had mine for over 10 years in the back of my truck. BUT like most locks, most bolt cutters will cut through it within 5 seconds. You can also just get a hammer and smash it down and it'll come off.

A:  In my experience, these are among the easiest to breach. I had these on my fence gate, and they were picked the next day. Any reasonably bright thief can pick the shackle. Mine, which were like this but four -combo locks, seemed like made of weaker material than the stronger combo locks I got with a short shackle.
