A:  Hello Lulu, there is a limitation of 1" off of the bottom of the door. Beyond that you will void the warranty and Masonite will not replace those doors if functionality of the door is compromised after that.

A:  Hello Jeanie, This door has been bored for a lockset, however it is prehung. You can order a slab only door in-store at any Home Depot location. The slats face outward.

A:  As you noticed, this is a prehung door meaning that it is already mounted in the jamb. Home Depot also carries a 30 in. x 80 in. Plantation smooth full louver composite slab door which is just the door. It is not bored for locksets or mortised for hinges. Since it is totally uncut, you can have it hung with the louvers facing in either direction.

              Answer This Question

A:  Recommended rough opening height is 82 in. The door frame itself is 81 1/2 in. in height and the actual door is 80 in. high. Leaving 1/2 in. between the bottom of the door and the finished floor, that would give you 1 in. as the height for your flooring.

              by|May 4, 2023

A:  Hello KJH, that type of space will need to be determined before a door unit is purchased since these interior doors are generally installed on finished flooring and there will generally only be 1/2" space at the bottom.
