Q:I was thinking of using 4' rebar buried in the ground. Are the feet hollow tubes such that the rebar would fit inside them? I know one person said they fit the feet into buried PVC pipe. My first thought was it's white and would show, but perhaps the person buried the PVC to ground level? Thanks

Answer This Question

A:  Legs are hollow, I estimate the thickness of the wall ~1/8". I buried 1.5' PVC tubing pieces into ground, and 4-6" of the other end sticking out of ground went into the leg of the arbor, so nothing shows.

A:  Yes. The part "B" of the arbor has long posts. You can bury the posts 16" to 18" (stated in the instructions). I used 18" and I have 7ft. 7 in. from walkway to the top of the arbor.

A:  This arbor does come with extensions on the side panels that are designed to be buried in the ground. However, we decided to bury four pieces of PVC tubing that the extensions could fit into. We stabilized the PVC, then sat the extensions into the PVC. That way it was easier to place and level the arbor.
