A:  This is a variable speed drill not an impact driver. I have driven small screw with this but does not have alot of torque for larger screws. The drill ramps up speed fairly quickly so this makes it more difficult for driving screws as well. Makita does make a right angle impact driver model which I own and is more capable for driving screws.
