A: Yes, this pot can be painted. We use a charcoal color stain and highlight the carvings with a rust color. If you paint, be sure to use a paint that will adhere to brick or stone.

A: It does not fall over for the majority of the time and it is vey sturdy and solid. Only when it’s completely empty and you still want more hose length then it falls over to give me the extra 16” height of the pot. I’m happy with the purchase.

Q:Does the base pot have drainage holes to keep water from pooling?

Answer This Question
A: The bottom pot only has the side "port" for the hose, and no other holes specifically for drainage. This side hole can be used to drain any excess water. I find that the water from the top flower pot area only drains if it's really over-watered. I prefer having these drainage holes in the flower pot, because the roots of my plants don't rot.

Q:Does this hose pot have a cone in the middle to wrap the hose around? Is it fairly easy to rewind each time it is used?

Answer This Question
A: This hose pot does not have an interior cone. I have a fairly rigid, heavy duty, hose so I do not have a problem when I wrap the hose back into the container. It can easily hold a 100 foot hose.
