A:  I have the same valve. I am buying this to try out. It appears it is the same. It looks exactly like the old one I have pulled to compare.

        Q:I have found several standard sizes of wrenches online. The old diverter measures exactly 1", but only can find 31/32" and 1-1/32" shower valve wrenches. So, what does this one need?

            Q:The outside pull part in the shower is it chrome finish or brass? At Home Depot book it shows #1198 is chrome finish, and that is what we need.

                    Q:wife wants to change to a faucet diverter, can we just take moen diverter out, seal with a valve cap and then use the faucet diverted as stated? And do you have a screw in cap?

                    A:  Hello markd and thank you for your interest in Moen products. A Moen tub/shower product that has a push button diverter can be capped and then converted to use a tub spout diverter to send the water to the showerhead. The cap for the push button diverter is Moen part number 101100. If you have additional questions, please call us at 800-289-6636.
