A:  The shelf is white. I've never seen it in another color.

A:  You can get different steel finishes but I believe the actual shel is only in white.

A:  Sorry, I just saw this. It sticks out about 8 1/2 inches from the corner. I have attached a photo so you can see how it looks next to shower control. My husband has balance issues and he uses this all the time.

A:  Absolutely. We have put these in porcelain and ceramic tile. Be sure to caulk around the mounting plates and the screw heads at least on the top and sides after you mount them to help keep water out. The smooth covers snap in place over the mounting plates and will hide everything.

A:  It can be installed into studs. It can also be installed through tile/drywall with toggle bolts.

A:  It is always better to do that. If you are intending to use it as a safety grab bar, I highly recommend doing that.
