Questions and Answers for MOEN Kingsley Double Robe Hook in Brushed Nickel

A:  Mine is installed on the wall just outside the tiled shower.

A:  Yes, but the hook attaches to a piece that must be screwed into the wall, which means you will need to carefully drill through tile (to not crack the tile). You should ideally hit a stud if you don't have plywood behind the wall. You should also apply some caulk or waterproofing to where the screws go into the wall to ensure you don't get moisture entering through the screws and screw holes, even if not directly in the path of any water stream because you will have condensation that makes its way under the hook where it meets the wall. Of course, the more traditional approach of placing the hook just outside the shower where it can easily and safely be reached may still be a better option.

The kit includes hardware for installing in drywall. For different material you may purchase (sold separately) the correct hardware for your installation of tile/masonry or wood materials. A:  It is made for walls next to shower not inside a tiled shower.

It is possible that you can use it inside of your shower; however, it is not recommended use for this product. A:  We don't have ours installed inside the shower. However, we've had no issues with the item, very sturdy. If you install in a location not directly in the water spray and dry it after each shower, I don't know why it wouldn't last. But, again, we don't have ours installed in that manner.

The Moen Kingsley Double Robe Hook in Brushed Nickel has a set screw that has to be tightened to ensure a secure installation. The set screw is located on the underside of the decorative cover, facing down towards the floor and requires the allen wrench that was included with the product.
