If your handles and tub spout are on the opposite sides of the tub, we would suggest using the 9792 rough-in valve body. This valve comes in 4 separate parts, and is designed to be installed in non-traditional applications. A:  This would not work. Under the tub, it's a single valve body. You can locate the sprayer hole up to 12 inches away, but that's the extent of the flexibility.

A:  Mine is about 48 inches. It's a standard fitting, so you could customize it.
