A:  Hello Towelboi and thank you for your interest in Moen products. The Moen Brantford 24 in. Towel Bar in Brushed Nickel includes a 24” bar. Moen does manufacture the Moen DN9830SN (Satin Nickel), 30” bar only that is compatible with the Moen Brantford 24 in. Towel Bar in Brushed Nickel mounting post. A:  Yes - see no reason why the bar cannot be shortened since the bar just fits in the holes on the bracket - use a fine tooth saw blade.

A:  Yes, it can be trimmed. I used a hack saw and a file to smooth the rough edge.

A:  Yes, you could cut the bar

A:  Yes, the bar and posts are separate.

A:  There are clear instructions in the box. You’ll need a drill, drywall anchors (included in the box) and a Phillips screwdriver. Drill 4 small holes (there’s a template to get them in the right spots), insert the drywall anchors and screw the backing plates to the wall. Slip the fixture onto the backing plates and tighten them down with either a small screwdriver or an Allen wrench (if an Allen wrench, I think it’s included in the box). If you’re at all handy, it’s a 15 minute job. Check with someone in the store to be sure you have all the right tools in the box or in your hands.

A:  Depending on what surface you are mounting to, you need to drill a hole (different size hole depending on surface). An anchor is inserted in the hole and you attach the mounting baracket to it. The towel ring is then placed on the mounting bracket. If you google the Brantford Towel Ring in Brushed Nickel, the installation instructions are shown.

Brantford Towel Bar in Chrome comes with mounting hardware for a drywall installation; however it can be mounted on a on a wooden door with appropriate mounting hardware which would have to be purchased separately. A:  Not sure. Mine is on wall. Worried that if door is hollow it will not be strong enough

A:  No reason this could not be mounted to the door. Mounting process will depend on whether the door is hollow, solid, or full wood.

A:  Yes. If the door is solid this will work fine. If the door is hollow, you'll need hollow door anchors.
