A:  The earlier response said "It cannot be shipped to your local store for pick-up either." Currently (June 2015) the web page is offering it to me for free pickup in my local store. They added one extra day more to the estimate than having it shipped to my home.

A:  Use the same copper to 1/2" IPS drop ell you would use for a shower head. At trim out, use a brass nipple of the appropriate length with some Teflon tape or pipe sealer for a water tight install. The hose connection just screws on the ell with the gasket in the hose fitting.

A:  It connects the water supply pipe coming out of the wall to the shower head hose. You need it but it is way too expensive
