IPS Connection will work with your Monticello trim kit as long as the spout does not have an integrated shank with a metal T at the end; if you have an integrated shank, there is no longer a compatible valve body. If you need a replacement cartridge, the part number for an older Monticello faucet is 1224. IPS Connection, you will need to insert a 7/32 hex wrench into the hole for the lift rod to tighten the spout to the shank. If you are installing a new trim kit, the hex wrench will be included. A:  If it were the cartridge and it was loose it would be leaking. My guess is that the brass housing isn’t fastened to your countertop properly. Either set too high and the top but has bottomed out or the lower nut (under sink) was never tightened properly and has loosened from usage.

A:  If the item pictured is a genuine Moen M-PACT common valve system it is the proper valve for the T6620 faucet.
