To activate the Wave Sensor, pass your hand over the Wave Sensor at the top of the faucet spout to turn water on. To turn the water off, simply wave your hand over the sensor at the top of the spout again. The Wave Sensor is great for filling large pots and washing dishes. For added safety, the MotionSense auto-shutoff feature stops flow after water is on for two (2) minutes for the Wave Sensor only. The Ready Sensor detects when you place your hands or an object below the spout and supplies water only until you exit the sensor zone. You’ll use water more wisely when using the Ready Sensor for quick tasks, like washing your hands. The first generation had a grey control box with the temperature dial on the control box to control the temperature of the water when using the sensor(s). The second generation has a black control box and the temperature of the water when using the sensor(s) is regulated by the position of the on/off handle.
