A:  Dear 5455LM: Home Depot stores offer a free basic 'cut to length' service, but their big cut-off saw doesn't provide enough precision for trim work, e.g. your oak threshold. You should probably invest in a trim saw, particularly if you plan to make any other improvements in your home. Here is the best option: Ryobi Model # P553, Home Depot Internet #307298546 UPC Code # 033287177998 It is battery powered, light and easy to use. I wish we had this amazing tool 20 years ago! There is no need to screw it down. Apply a generous layer of DAP 230 sealant on the entire bottom surface. After this cures (24 hours) it will hold the threshold in place -- and will seal water leaks. If you are not comfortable with power tools, talk to your Home Depot's Customer Service team and ask them for a good contractor who can install your threshold. I hope this is helpful, Mark

Home Depot sells a number of thresholds that are 60 in. long, e.g. Model # 99042060000, Home Depot Internet #205979819.
