A: Read their response below . Makes no sense though because they made a comparability chart that says the selv-300 p ,
And the dVelv-300p both work the best for this d416-30321 led bulb ! It says you can put up to 18 bulbs on one switch. The contradiction!

A: The Skylark SELV-300P is rated to control incandescent or halogen fixtures that have an electronic low-voltage transformer. For best dimming results, Lutron recommends using a dimmer that is rated to control LEDs. The Skylark SCL-153P is an appropriate dimmer because it is rated for line voltage LEDs. Please visit www.lutron.com/ledfinder or www.lutron.com/ledtool to see which LEDs are compatible.

Q:Is this switch classified as being digital and will it work with eglo light fixtures?

Answer This Question
A: This product is classified as a mechanical style dimmer and is not a digital style. As for the Eglo lights that you are using, as long as they are dimmable with an ELV style dimmer, then this product should be able to control them.

Q:Can this be used with LED bulbs?

Answer This Question
A: Yes this product can be used with LED loads.

A: It can, but if you are using screw-in LED bulbs in a fixture, you can get the same function for about half the money, using an electronic (but not low-voltage) dimmer, and with many of them you don't have to have a neutral line, as you do with this one. You don't need an electronic low-voltage (trailing edge) dimmer for many LED lights, and if you do, it will be clearly specified. With this one, and others like it, you have to wire three leads: line, load and neutral. With conventional dimmers, you only need line and load.

Q:Is there a minimum wattage on a electronic low voltage dimmer
by|Aug 27, 2015

Answer This Question
A: The minimum rated wattage on the SELV-300P is negligible (less than 5-Watts). Just make certain that the electrical box contains a neutral connection (the dimmer will not function without one). A: Not on this one, or for a few others from the same manufacturer that I looked at. The maximum for all lights combined on this dimmer is 300 watts, but no minimum. My setup had two 18 watt lights, and I tested the dimmer with them individually as well as wired in parallel, and no problems. I did ask the same question of the manufacturer before I ordered it, because I wasn't anywhere near the capacity of the dimmer, and the only comment about that was that with very low-wattage lights, which they described as a total of less than 5 watts, the light(s) may go off before the dimmer control is fully at the end of the slide. This was no issue with my lights. With these lights, the dimming appeared to be ever so slightly stepped as the slider was moved, as opposed to truly continuous, but the stepping was minor, probably not noticeable to most, important to even fewer, and not enough for me to even comment on in my review. You had to sweep the slider to notice it, which wouldn't be part of normal use.
