Answer This Question
A: Hello! No, the MA-S8AM is not a wireless device and does not have the ability to pair to any wireless sensors or remotes. The MA-S8AM is a standard Maestro On/Off switch. Q:Does this switch (MA-S8AM) physically push in when you turn it on/off, or does it just detect your finger like a touch screen and not push in?

Answer This Question
A: The switch uses a rocker mechanism. Pushing the top portion in raises the lighting and pushing the lower part in lowers the lighting. Only a small amount of movement is required to change the lighting level. It does not use touch sensing technology like a touch pad or cell phone.

Q:I have 3 outdoor fans with lights and would like to operste through one switch that i can dim the lights or set fan speeds.

Answer This Question
A: The MA-S8AM is an on/off switch, which would require the fans and lights to be controlled from another medium. Lutron does offer several fan/light controls, however they are rated for a single fan/light. Lutron recommends contacting a local Lutron representative here: https://www.lutron.com/en-US/Pages/WhereToBuySelection.aspx.

Q:I'm thinking of replacing all of my existing switches to this so they're a button vs traditional. Is that okay to do?
Also, if 2 switches operate the same light, is it okay to add one of these to each switch?

Answer This Question
A: Yes, you could outfit all of your switches to these controls. Please note that this switch requires a neutral connection. For 3-way or 4-way applications, you would use one MA-S8AM with Maestro companion switches (model: MA-AS) for each of the other switch locations. Please see the following page for more information/specification sheets: http://www.lutron.com/en-us/pages/SupportCenter/support.aspx?modelNumber=MA-S8AM
