Q:How much current in amps do these fixtures pull? Installed two of them and it trips the breaker. 12 gauge wire used even. Switched to lower wattage bulbs on the third regular type flood light and still trips breaker. had no issues until I installed the second metal halide fixture. Evidently the pull way more than an amp each. 100w / 120v = 0.83 amps with a regular non-ballasted bulb. The ballasts must have a high draw. Would be nice to know how much the total draw is.

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes, photo censor, timer, motion detector.

        by|Oct 23, 2018

A:  I would not recommend it. These are not "instant on" type of bulbs. The time from motion detection to full lumen power could be as long as a minute or more.

A:  Hey Poohbear, Yes, you can install your Metal Halide Flood Light with a motion sensor. The motion sensor head must be installed via a surface mounted junction box sold separately. Make sure the sensor is pointing in the direction where motion from the presence of people will occur. Thank you for your question, Joseph
