A: The tamperproof version is designed to protect children.. ie bedroom use. However why would you have a 20 amp circuit in a bedroom?
Outside of the need for protection (ie bedroom) I would prefer to use this version

Q:Can I use this in a kitchen to replace the outlet that says gfci protected (on right). I know I have to replace the one with the gfci buttons with a gfci one. I am looking to replace them all with duplex outlets so I can use non screwable plates in my kitchen.

Answer This Question
A: A 20 amp receptacle is correct for the kitchen because it is a 20 amp circuit. A GFCI receptacle must be replaced with a GFCI receptacle, and if the GFCI receptacle is the breaker for existing receptacles on the same circuit, then a standard 20 amp receptacle replacement is acceptable.

A: The GFCI with the Button it can power more Receptacles but you have to pay attention to the Wiring also you have to pay attention to the Amp rating of the GFCI if your GCFI is only rated at 15 amps even a 20 amp GFCI and the Receptacle you picked it will trip if you are running some heavy Appliances like Microwave or Electric Grills at the same time on the Circuit and You need at least 12 gauge wire for a 20 Receptacle and if Your GFCI is rate at !5 amps you only can draw the Max of Your GFCI.
