Q:I am replacing an older outlet that has two sets of quick connect and one side wired connection. All wires are 14 gauge. Am I able to use this outlet as a replacement?

A: yes but do not ever use the push in rear quick connects! buy the decora plus if you want to rear wire it! the only type of rear wire any good electrician will EVER use is the ones you put the wires in the back and tighten the screw to secure them!

Q:There appears to be two different photos of the item. Photo #1, front view, shows the surface to have printing "Leviton". Photo #2, a partial angular view, shoes no printing and surface is smooth. What gives?

A: They are to hold the outlet or switch against the drywall when installed in a box that may not be flush with the wall. In cases where the box is flush they can be snapped off as to not cause the cover to not fit snugly
