Q:Best to stick to sheet rock just above molding or to molding itself

Answer This Question
A: Either will work fine, although going above the molding (on the sheet rock) will give a lower profile off the wall. I suggest wiping the wall or molding with some isopropyl alcohol before applying. It will remove any diet or oils and promote better adhesion.

A: Hello Owen,
It's best to adhere the product directly to the sheet rock. Be sure to properly clean the surface prior to installation to ensure it's free of any dirt or debris.
Thank you!

A: No, this product is a cord cover only and is not rated for running hardwire such as romex. For hardwire situations, we recommend our raceway products such as the below.

Q:Is there an end cap available ? I want to run a thermostat wire across the ceiling & down inside the walls.
It would look tacky to seal it with silicone or caulk.

A: I did not see one on the shelves but there are two different 90 degree pieces that can be used to accomplish what you're looking for. Just trim the corners one at the bend and it should give you the clean look you're trying to get.

A: No, sorry, we do not have an endcap available for this product.

Q:Has anyone used this for a run that has a non-90 degree angle? I have a 135 degree angle. I was thinking of cutting the peices for that angle and using caulk whre they come together since there seems to be only 90 degree angle connectors. Though I would check if anyone else has a better solution before I go ahead.

A: The connector pieces are purely decorative to cover up the seams. If you have a non-standard angle, you could still use the channel without the connectors, or as you mention, use caulk or something else to cover the seam if desired. Hope this helps!

A: Had the same issue with a 75 degree angle. Got it close as I could and used a drywall spackle and molded to get it to near perfection for painting. Worked like a charm!
Thought about using caulk, but getting it to work like spackle was the deal breaker for me.

Q:Is the only way to get the couplings and inside elbows in white by buying the whole kit? I bought the kit and a couple of the separate 5 ft runs and the white color is a match to by base boards.

A: There should be a coupling pack available as well, because I’ve had to buy a couple of inside 90 degree pieces for an install that I was cleaning up.

A: Great question! In this size of Cordmate channel, we sell it both individually or in a kit. Below is a link to the couplings and elbows individually.

A: You can use any of the Cordmate products on ceilings. However, if you have a textured ceiling we recommend using additional screws or nails to make sure it does not fall down.
