A: The specs are not exactly the same. There is one spec that is the most important one in box fans and that is CFM. Cubic feet of air moved in a minute. B20201 has a CFM of 1320 while 3733 has a CFM of 1820 a huge difference. The model 3733 also uses less wattage to produce the same result. The main giveaway as best I can tell is that the 3733 is the newer model of the same fan. The giveaway is in the weight the 3733 is 1.65 lbs. heavier than the B20201 and since the cases and fans look exact the difference must be in the motor, i.e. producing more CFM at the same selling price. The 3733 will probably be noisier due to the higher fan speed but if you want to move air the higher the CFM the better. I have this on my workbench in the garage and this thing moves a lot of air for it's size. Have to turn speed down a lot of times to keep stuff from blowing of the bench.

A: A 20 inch furnace filter will work to filter dust for this size fan.
by|Sep 11, 2020
A: Don't know of anything specific. But I have ducts that I could not find the right size for. so they sell a material you can cut to size and it's fibrous and thick. You could certainly wire tie it to the outside of the screen and it's washable. Home depot sell True Blue 24x36x1 washable filters in a pack of two. Should work great for your application.

A: My husband jerry rigged a furnace filter to the back of the box fan with medical fabric tape. We had plaster dust from construction. The fan/filter was very helpful.
