A:  True. You can’t just use a Chrome finish with any other finish on the other side. There is a workaround that isn’t a 100% fix: You can use the unfinished portions of the non-chrome handle inside and outside and put the chrome handle and escutcheon plate over them on the inside. The only sign you have done this is that the lock tab on the interior will be the exterior finish.

A:  Found out that the Tustin polished chrome bed/bath lever is not compatible with the same in Venetian Bronze. The chrome one will not snug up to the door when the venetian bronze is on the other side. My contractor tried to install it. The plate is different. Called the 800 number and they insisted it would work. It doesn't. So I have to take the chrome back and instead used bronze on both sides. Too bad.
