A:  As they send these questions to customers for answers and not SMEs, I don't have specifics, but I just soundproofed a party wall between my gym and living room during a renovation. I found that most any interior hollow core door is going to be less than 20 STC with only a minimal improvement if you find a solid wood slab. Keep in mind that unless you've soundproofed the entire envelope of the door, such as sealing behind the jam and even the room for sound transmission via the opening around the door you're going to hear whatever us on the other side regardless. Soundproofing is a systemic package approach but sound dampening comes down to insulation and mass. Hollow core doors have neither.
