A:  We have one room that gets especially cold we have had an issue with space heaters getting the outlet too hot in there and melting an outlet, we bought this one and have had it plugged in and on constantly with the below zero temps and I check the outlet often, no melting and the plug doesn't even get hot. I'd say safe to leave on!
