A:  I am confused. The description says Drop In / Undermount. So you can't use it as a drop in?

A:  Thank you for reaching out! I can answer your inquiry. Our sinks are best suited for solid surface counter top materials like granite, soapstone, marble, or concrete. Not well suited for laminate or tile counters, which have too many weak points along seams and grout lines to support the weight of the sink. A:  No not removable, I have a sink like this and I don't believe this piece could be removed. I like this addition, it is appealing along with the same colored straining baskets and addition of faucet to match. The sink is made of fine granite stone that is sealed. Heavy pots could possibly scratch the finish of this sink or any sink for that matter. This piece gives you a place to rest your pots or what ever while you scourer them. Granted this piece is stainless and it to might scratch but it is very durable like the sink. I have had my sink about 2 years and I love it. It is a deep sink and the stone can easily be resealed whenever you like making it look brand new again. I have only done this about once a year. Clean sink, spray on a granite sealer, wipe it in and let it dry, very easy. Again I love this sink and color and everyone that sees it does too as they stand and admire it as they stroke around it. Would definitely buy it again.

A:  Hi Connie, Any Kraus product that is ordered from Home Depot in New condition will include all accessories as advertised. Anything that is not sold by home depot in new condition cannot be confirmed to have all accessories or be covered under our limited lifetime warranty. A:  This particular sink is undermount and has no knock out plug areas. Anything like that would just go though the counter top. However, in granite composite sinks that do have knock outs, you actually still need to drill them out. They are partially drilled already, but I believe it is an 1 3/8 paddle bit that works best to finish it off.

This model granite sink is of the under mount type and does not require holes for installation of accessories as you mount them directly through the counter and not the sink. A:  I’m not sure but you can have your installer make as many holes as you need . We had new countertops and sink installed together and he made more holes for me to put soap pump.

Depending on the disposal unit manufacturer you choose, you may need to also use a longer flange from said manufacturer.
