Q:I'm not concerned with it being the same design family, as long as it looks compatible enough, main concern is whether or not it is possible to use a side sprayer with this faucet.

A:  No, not with this particular model. It has to have a third hose coming out of the body for a sprayer.

I apologize, Artifacts bar faucet, and model 99264-VS is not compatible with a sidespray. The standard sized kitchen faucet, model 99262-VS would include a side spray but is the taller version of the item you had originally linked to.
