A:  Hello Ru, my name is Kassi with Kohler Co. I'd be glad to answer your question. The K-99264-VS has a hot/cold valve that also turns the unit on/off. This faucet does not have a non-return valve. Standard faucets that do not have a side spray or pull down hose would not require a non-return valve. Thank you for choosing Kohler.

A:  I attached a T fitting after the valve on the hot line-then another valve-the spray would only have hot water which is generally what I use anyway!
