Q:In response to someone asking if you have a matching tub surround, the answer included: "...we do not have any wall surrounds to offer. All of our Kohler tubs are made for tile down applications." What exactly does "tile down application" mean? This can only be installed with tile surrounding it?

Answer This Question

A:  Hello Minmh, my name is Tiffany with Kohler Co. I am happy to help with the question about the Seaforth bath. Tile down application means that a finished wall material will come down to the bath over the flange; this is not specific to material. Kohler does not offer any specific wall surrounds to pair with the Seaforth bath. We do have Choreograph wall panels that can be cut to fit your installation needs. Most finished wall materials will work with a tile down application. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

Q:Can this tub be used in a corner configuration? (two walls -- one at head of tub, other wall on long side of tub...but not three walls or any wall at bottom end of tub)

A:  No, this tub has only the front as a finished surface. The other three sides are open to the inner sides the water holding area of the tub. Kohler as well as other manufacturers make a tub designed for a corner installation. They are more of a triangular shape and wider than a standard 30" X 60" alcove bathtub.
