A:  We never use the tub. Were I to redo the bathroom again I wouldn’t bother with a tub. We do keep a package of bath salts and a fancy bar of soap on the side of the tub as decorator items and they do not fall in. Whether a wet bar of soap would fall in I do not know. Keep in mind that if you are in California the new 1.8 gpm maximum flow rate for faucets means it will take almost 20 minutes to fill this tub to its 33 gallon capacity - less time than a standard tub, but still quite a while. And the drain assembly they recommend is not to code in California unless there is an access door to it.

A:  You can set items in the corners of the tub. The middle of the side is not wide enough to set items.
