          A:  Hi Tess, this is Sarah with Kohler Customer Service. I am glad to address your question. This toilet is designed to fit in a 12" rough-in. It can be placed in a 14" rough-in. Doing this would add 2" to the gap between the back of the tank and wall. Thank you for choosing Kohler.

            Q:Why does this toilet not have a soft close lid? It seems for the price that shouldn?t even be a question! I purchased two toilets today , the cheaper kohler for $219 had a soft close lid . This one for $379 did not ! Which one will fit this toilet ?
