A:  This faucet is designed for single hole bathroom sinks. Most sinks have two holes four inches apart. This faucet is not for those sinks. The sink bowl has a single faucet hole such as the Kohler Farmington K-2905 single hole sink. Kohler makes other versions of this faucet that has an adapter plate that covers the four inch holes and allows the single handle faucets to be used existing sinks.

A:  Yes, this can be used on a regular sink.

A:  Our contractor installed so not sure there was a base plate. It is installed as shown in the attached photo with the base ring only which covers the sink faucet opening(on our bath sink).

A:  The overall height is 7.5" from the sink penetration. The base is about 0.5", so without that say 7". The faucet lever needs about an inch of vertical clearance above the top of the faucet to open fully. The Home Depot page for the faucet has a rough-in plan that gives some more dimensions.

A:  The base is 2 and 3/8" in diameter. The height of the rear of the faucet is 6 and 3/8" and the handle is 6 and 1/2'. We have two of them and they work well.

A:  This is the single hole laboratory faucet. If your sink has three holes in it then you need to buy the 4 inch base plate to cover up the other holes you’re not using.. Hope this helps
