A:  Hello Chris, my name is Kassi with Kohler Co. I'd be happy to answer your question. The K-1118-RA-0 bath requires shims if there are gaps. Then you would secure 1/4" (6 mm) furring strips to the studs, flush with the bath flange. The water-resistant wallboard is then installed over the framing. Then apply a 1/8" (3 mm) bead of 100% silicone sealant along the seams. Thankyou for choosing Kohler.

A:  Hi Pinkpeony, this is Sarah with Kohler Customer Service. I am glad to address your question. Kohler Co. tests to the ADA and ANSI Z124.1.2 standards. The ANSI Z1245.1.2 standard requires a minimum load bearing capability of 300 lbs. +/- 5 lbs. All acrylic baths satisfy the 300lb. weight limit. Thank you for choosing Kohler.
