A:  Not difficult. It comes with a template so that you can mark the wall. Four holes in the wall to mount the brackets, then a small Alan screw at the bottom of each side to hold the bar to the bracket.

A:  Very easy. The hardware comes with easy instructions and necessary tools to align and install.

A:  A drill a tape measure screw driversand maybe a small level is what you need unless you want to mount in a stud then a stud finder. Locate the height you want and horizontal location of one side of bar drill for fastener measure over to center of opposite bracket location, drill hole for second bracket. Measure up from floor or use level to locate. Attach towel bar using small screwdriver or hex wrench

A:  No Cannot cut the bar to make it fit other lengths. The bar is connected on both ends.
