A:  The type of oil that I use is a synthetic 10W-30.

A:  Used 10W 30 since this is what my engine requires. Pour small amount on the pre-filter, ball it up in your fist, squeeze out excess oil. Lay filter onto a clean paper towel and blot out any remaining oil. Been doing this for years and it seems to work fine. Over 600 hours on the engine.

A:  their should be manufacturers specs on the type of oil to be used.Usually I use a light grade of oil such as 10 or 20 weight and squeeze out all the excess you can.

A:  Hello - any type of spray lubricant such as WD-40 will work just fine. Thank you for your question.

A:  Any type of LIGHT oil, motor oil,penetrating fluid,spray oil,etc (squeeze out any excess oil from pre filter before installing)
