Answer This Question
A: Hi RJG.
Thank you for your question.
Yes, you can keep your orchid in a pot. You will need to avoid direct sunlight with your orchid.
The optimum temperature for best performance should be between 65 F - 85 F and should never fall below 55 F.
Always avoid drafts of any kind.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Answer This Question
A: The container must have hole(s) in the bottom so water can drain out. Use orchid bark mix to pot it in (not soil!). MANY excellent videos on YouTube, including from American Orchid Society on potting an orchid.

A: NO! it's a tropical plant. This 'ice business' is just marketing idea to sell to those who think they don't have time to take care of houseplants. Google American Orchid Society and read EXPERT information about how to actually care for orchids.

Answer This Question
A: Remove the plant from the pot and re-pot it in new potting soil to avoid it from root rotting. Drain the water from the used Orchid potting mix let it dry, once dried save it to reuse it later. Do not water your Orchid while it is in the decorative pot. Remove the inner transparent pot from the decorative pot and water that way water will drain out easily, set it for few mins so the water drains out completely and then place the plant back in the decorative outer pot. I leave my Orchids in the transparent pot I use the decorative pot only when there is a visitor.
